SAVE FOOD FOR A SUSTAINABLE PLANET

At SASCO, we spread the message of saving clean water, food, cooking just enough, and eating in moderation to the community and passengers as part of our commitment to a greener Earth and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.

Preserving a green, clean, and “healthy” Earth is a core principle advocated by international experts, as it plays a crucial role in enhancing both physical and mental health. Simple actions, such as using clean water, consuming food in moderation, and minimizing waste during meals, are increasingly embraced and supported by many people.

GREENING THE EARTH THROUGH SIMPLE ACTIONS

More and more awareness campaigns are being launched by organizations and businesses worldwide to promote the importance of valuing food and clean water in order to protect the environment. These initiatives contribute to the global effort of keeping the Earth "healthy," reducing emissions, and minimizing environmental pollution.

As a company committed to sustainable values since its establishment, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO) has been running the program "Save Food for a Sustainable Planet" since 2022.

The initiative begins by encouraging employees, partners, and customers in Sasco’s business lounge network to adopt simple habits—like taking just the right portion of food and drinks, or using water mindfully in restrooms. These small changes, when practiced collectively, can make a meaningful impact on sustainable development, help preserve natural resources, and move us toward a greener Earth.

After three months of implementation, the project has received positive responses from partners and passengers visiting the business lounge. The majority of passengers enthusiastically participated and followed the guidance displayed on signs and banners. A Sasco representative shared that the company has seen a significant reduction in food waste, and water consumption has been effectively controlled.

Since the launch of the “Save Food” initiative, Sasco has recorded a significant decrease in food waste

This is a positive sign that the message of protecting a greener, cleaner environment and conserving natural resources is reaching more people and gaining widespread support. The encouraging results also pave the way for Sasco to implement more impactful and large-scale programs focused on environmental protection and climate action, in line with its long-term commitment to sustainable production and consumption.

Previously, the company had also introduced various initiatives promoting green living, which were warmly embraced by partners, customers, and the community. Notable examples include “Green Day – Green Life,” a tree planting campaign in Da Lat; “Em Yeu Hanh Tinh Xanh” for young eco-advocates; and “Think Green – Go Green,” which encourages reducing plastic waste, saving energy, and prioritizing natural materials across the company’s service and production supply chains.

“EM YEU HANH TINH XANH ” – SMALL STEPS, GREEN TOMORROWS

“Em Yeu Hanh Tinh Xanh” is an environmental initiative by SASCO, implemented as part of the company’s sustainability action plan. The program took place at three primary schools in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province: Binh Son Primary School, Binh An Primary School, and Cau Xeo Primary School.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, SASCO gifted new playgrounds to three primary schools

- Binh Son, Binh An, and Cau Xeo - providing students with safe,

engaging spaces to play and stay active after class.

Through activities that are closely related to everyday life yet still exciting—such as planting trees, exchanging waste for succulents, offering eco-friendly gifts, donating waste-sorting bins, and providing children's playgrounds—SASCO aims to “green” schools. These initiatives contribute to improving air quality within the school environment while spreading the green message, raising environmental awareness among the younger generation.
