Southern Airports Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO) was established in 1993. With a vision to lead and a desire to innovate the airport commercial service industry in Vietnam, SASCO has developed a chain of high-quality services aimed at delivering the highest satisfaction to partners and customers. The company contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Tan Son Nhat International Airport and promoting the modernization and development of Vietnam’s aviation industry in the context of global integration.

Founded in 1993 with the mission to build and develop internationally standardized services at Tan Son Nhat International Airport – one of the country's key gateways – SASCO has, after 25 years of remarkable growth, become the leading airport service brand in Vietnam.

SASCO’s development history aligns closely with the country’s economic growth phases. From an initial capital of VND 9 billion, SASCO has grown to become one of Vietnam’s Top 50 Outstanding Enterprises, with total assets exceeding VND 2,100 billion and a market capitalization of VND 4,000 billion, maintaining an average annual growth rate in double digits.

In accordance with the State's enterprise management reform policies, SASCO’s unwavering mission remains to continually improve its services for passengers at Tan Son Nhat Airport.

The year 2017 marked a successful milestone for SASCO, achieving record-breaking growth and its most impressive results since being listed on the UPCOM stock exchange. Revenue reached VND 2,515.59 billion, up 11% year-on-year; profits reached VND 349.13 billion, a 24% increase over the same period.

Throughout the year, SASCO continued investing in and upgrading both infrastructure and service quality at Tan Son Nhat Airport. The business lounge system was upgraded to meet Skytrax 4-star standards (certified by the UK-based aviation rating agency). The newly launched Le Saigonnais Lounge – a space rich in Saigon identity at the city’s gateway – offers a unique local cultural experience in architecture, cuisine, and the warmth and hospitality of Saigonese people.

The SASCO Shop retail chain expanded in number of outlets, product categories, and introduced more regionally distinctive products. The SASCO Duty Free system added several stores designed to international luxury standards.

In the F&B segment, besides the 84 Café and Fresh 2go chains, a new brand called Phố Chợ was launched early in the year, offering a range of famous global street foods.

SASCO also invested in sleeping pods and play areas for children at the airport, highly praised by both domestic and international travelers. These features contributed to Tan Son Nhat International Airport being ranked 21st among the Top 25 Most Sleep-Friendly Airports and 19th in the Top 25 Best Airports for Layovers worldwide.

Beyond service quality innovation, SASCO is a pioneer in applying technology to airport commercial services. In 2017, the company introduced e-wallet payment options for Asian tourists visiting Vietnam – the first time this payment method was implemented at a Vietnamese airport.

In addition to its business activities, SASCO is active in community and social responsibility efforts. In 2017, nearly VND 1.3 billion – contributed from employees' working days – was donated to support flood-affected areas in Central Vietnam and provide gifts to underprivileged households during the Lunar New Year. The company and its customers also gave 400 warm coats to children in mountainous regions and hundreds of educational scholarships, continuing a shared journey to build a more compassionate and better society.
